What happens when I place an order with delivery option?
We receive a notification of your order as soon as you have paid or confirmed all details on the checkout page. We will check all details and if everything is ok, your order will arrive at the specified day and time, provided we have enough warning. The driver will have your contact details, so you may get a call if it isn't clear where to dump your purchased products.
How do I know what quantity of material I need?
First you need to work out what quantity you need in cubic meters. To do this, multiply your area by your approx. depth (all in meters) then multiply it by the density of the product required, which is stated on each product description. It is a good idea to add 30% for compaction to ensure you get enough product.
Example: 4m wide by 10m long by 10cm deep is (4m x 10m x 0.1m)=4m³
4m³ x 1.5 Density Factor = 6 Tons
Add 30% to allow for compaction = 8 Tons Required
What happens if I order more than 12 Ton of product?
12 Ton is the maximum amount we can carry in 1 truckload. If you have ordered more than this, it will either require 2 truck movements, or if you have the room we could use a tipper trailer, which also incurs extra cost. Hence, in the case of needing more than a truckload, we will contact you to add this extra cost to your order before we can deliver it.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing?
If you have a change of mind after ordering please call the office on 06 878 7567 or email admin@awakeri.co.nz
How can I track my order?
You will get a confirmation email once the order is placed and another email when the delivery is complete. If you want an update of where the truck is call the office and one of the team will help you out.
What if the wrong product is delivered?
We strive to ensure all our orders are correct but if on the off-chance it is not the product you ordered please contact the office and we will sort out a solution for this inconvenience.
How much room do your trucks need?
Our 12T Payload trucks need 3m width, 3.5m height clearance (cab) and have a large turning circle if required to turn around. Please check your driveway dimensions to ensure we don't have to dump it on the road! We will endeavor to do our best to get your load to exactly where you need it.
How soon can I pick my order up?
You can pick up your order as soon as you have paid for it - we carry all stock that is for sale on the store. Pick up address is 110 Mere Road, Fernhill between 6am and 5pm Mon-Fri. Come and see the team at the office to collect your order. Make sure to bring an appropriate sized trailer or vehicle that suits the product you have purchased.
How is the shipping fee calculated?
Our shipping fees are determined by the distance measured by radius from our depot to the destination in kilometers. E.g Jervoistown, Napier - $150. Bear in mind some bridges have a weight limit which our trucks cannot cross, this may incur extra cost as we will have to go the long way around. (We are unable to cross Fernhill and Waiohiki bridge with a full load.)
I can't seem to find the product I'm looking for?
If you're looking for something and can't seem to find it or not sure what it is called, just ask the chat box (bottom right button) or ring us on 06 878 7567. We can guide you in the right direction and if you need something we don't sell ourselves, we are quite likely to know where to get it from.
Will your truck damage my concrete?
Our trucks fully loaded can weigh up to 24 Tons, spread over 3 axles. This means we are a lot heavier than residential vehicles and depending on your concrete thickness, the concrete could crack. We take no responsibility for any damage occurred from the weight of the truck. Most quality driveways with good prep and 100mm+ of concrete will stand up to the weight of a laden axle, but if we drive near the edge or there is some hidden sinkage, residential concrete is likely to crack.
